RTG can provide complete single source engineering and environmental services to clients. Our expertise over the entire spectrum of environmental services provides us with unique insight to successfully execute complex tasks in an integrated manner. Whether RTG is conducting site assessment, permitting, remedial design, construction, or operation of remediation facilities, our team is cognizant of all aspects of the requirements which lead to a successfully executed and cost effective task. Our capabilities in facility operations are described below.

Combined, RTG’s staff has more than 50 years of water and wastewater treatment system design and operations experience. Our staff includes engineers, chemists, designers, technicians, and operations personnel, including senior operators with top level certification from several states. RTG can provide operations personnel to staff or augment a customer’s existing water treatment facility staff, or we can provide a packaged service that includes complete responsibility for operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, monitoring, and report preparation. In addition, RTG has significant resources available for technical and process support. Our Engineering Department includes highly qualified chemical, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers, designers, and CAD operators.

RTG has provided operations services to projects that must comply with CERCLA and RCRA requirements. In addition to being OSHA 40-hour trained, several personnel have MSHA training and DOE radiation protection worker training. RTG has been responsible for operation of wastewater treatment facilities that discharge under NPDES permits or local pretreatment discharge permits. In addition, we have personnel that are trained for implementing site monitoring programs for water, air, and soil.

RTG operators have experience in the operation of municipal water and wastewater treatment systems, industrial treatment systems, and remedial treatment systems for cleanup of contaminated soils, groundwater, and surface water. Treatment system processes include biological systems, chemical precipitation, clarification, membrane and conventional filtration, ion exchange, activated carbon, activated alumina, air stripping, UV/oxidation, reverse osmosis, sludge dewatering, and offgas treatment. Typical water treatment operations also include ancillary support systems such as chemical make-up systems, steam systems, and plant air systems. We also have extensive experience in the operation of trailer mounted and temporary treatment systems, including mobilization and demobilization of such systems.

RTG personnel are currently involved in the operation of a number of industrial and hazardous waste treatment facilities. These include facilities that were designed and constructed by RTG as well as existing facilities. The RTG staff includes State of Colorado Certified A (Industrial) Operators, as well as a number of other certified field operators and support personnel. In most of its operations projects, RTG is also responsible for the preparation of all required operations and maintenance manuals and documentation.
